Ulster Protestant Boys F.B.

Coleraine, Co. Londonderry

36th 'Ulster' Division

The Ulster Protestant Boys are proud to carry a 36th 'Ulster' Division banner at the front of our band in memory of all the Ulstermen who fought and died at the Battle of the Somme. The majority of the men who formed the 36th 'Ulster' Division were originally members of Carson's UVF, formed in 1912 to oppose Dublin rule in Ulster.

All gave some. Some gave all.

They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old:

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning

We will remember them.

Fourth stanza of 'For the Fallen' by Laurence Binyon (1869 - 1943)
